A History
South Crosby Public School was built in 1964, with Doug Kerr acting as the first principal. The school has had a few changes over the years. An outdoor rink was constructed in 1969 and is still being used by the students and the community during the winter months. The big gymnasium was also constructed in 1969 and the Kindergarten program had it's first year that year as well.
The latest addition to the school occurred in 1998, when the primary wing was added. It included four new classrooms, our front entrance and at that time, South Crosby became completely wheelchair accessible.
Our current student enrolment is 315 students ranging from JK- Grade 6. We are a proud member of the Upper Canada District School Board and the Rideau Family of Schools.
